We had cancelled our trip to Scafell the previous week due to bad
weather reports, in contrast the weather today was perfect! We started out from Seathwaite, crossing Stockley Bridge and making our way up Grains Gill and onto Esk Hause. Our first stop was Great End Here the view from Great End looking towards Keswick and Skiddaw can be seen. |

| We then made our way to Ill Crag - shown here top left of picture with Scafell Pike on the right.. |

After leaving the Pike we descend to Lingmell Coll and then climb
up to the summit of Lingmell. Here Gerry can be seen photographing the lads at the summit cairn. |

We leave Lingmell and head down the corridor route, crossing

Great Gable and Kirk Fell can be seen as we travel a little
further down the Corridor Route - We carry on back to Seathwaite via Sty Head
Tarn and Stockley Bridge. A glorious day!! |
